Earlier this year we highlighted the interior design trend for tropical murals. If you're still hankering after a ‘tropical escape’ as we near the end of summer here are some gorgeous designs to inspire you.

This trend is all about bringing escapism to the home with mouthwatering designs of wild fruits, exotic birds and botanic prints, digitally printed onto walls, fabrics, wood and ceramics.

They're really easy to get hold of nowadays, try the internet for suppliers, and they are a great way of making fitted kitchens, bedrooms or living spaces totally on-trend. Plus they're guaranteed to bring a smile to your face when the British weather is getting you down!

This gorgeous mural featuring an oversized leaf print in stunning shades of moss green also meets the 2014 botantic print trend.

A great way to instantly update a fitted bedroom with colour and vibrancy is this tropical mural that has to be our favourite. This beautiful beach scene transports you straight to a sunny paradise! What can be better than waking up beside the sea every morning?

Cole & Son’s Palm Jungle Mural in this luscious shade of emerald green delivers a statement wall which oozes the tranquillity of the rainforest. We just love it!

If you’re looking to introduce this trend with a little more subtly, designs such as this Bamboo mural from Graham & Brown’s runway-inspired range can be stylishly added to a small proportion of the wall for a touch of tropical styling.

For some wildlife-inspired ideas, check out designs such as this ‘Tropical Birds’ mural by Argentinian artist Pablo Piatti showcased at New York’s BOFFO Show House – bursting with vibrancy, we’re utterly inspired by this design.
